Avalon are 4 piece synth band from Tokyo who describe their sound as being "80's Fantasy Film'. They were something Sebastianne came across today whilst searching the Japanese internets. Apparently they come with the almighty "EROL ALKAN SAYZ ITS COOL" seal of approval which means they should certainly be one to watch. Tracks like "The Improvisatore" and "Verses" are like Zongamin but with heavier beats and added synth. Whilst "Andromeda Saint Chime" is very much like Pacific! at their best. Stylisticly I am quickly gatherting they might be hard to pin down.. well worth 10 minutes of your listening time though.

Avalon は東京の４人から成るシンセバンドで、自分達の音楽を８０年代のファンタジー映画と表現しています。正直日本のエレクトロシーンの知識がない私ですが、せっかく日本に帰って来たということでネタ探しをした結果が彼らでした。何が目を引いたかというとEROL ALKANが推薦しているからでして、それはチェックする価値ありありです。"The Improvisatore" や "Verses"なんかは Zongaminな感じもしますがビートはもっと強くてシンセサイザーが効いてます。"Andromeda Saint Chime"なんかはPacific! チックです。彼らに対する評価はまだ簡単には出来ませんが、１０分くらい耳を傾ける価値はあると思います。
