Rubix is a DJ/Producer from Holland. He's making some delightful french sounding house music which has already caught the attention of peeps like Laidback Luke & Kissy Sell Out. It's easy to hear why, with tracks like 'Baiser Sur La Disco' you can tell he's certainly going places. You don't want to miss out on this kid.

Keke and Ana are Jesse, an electro duo from Finland. They clearly (photo) have the best haircuts and leather jackets in the universe. They also make the weirdest, funkiest, glitchiest electronic sounds I've heard in a while. I'll be honest and admit that I wasn't aware of these guys before but I can assure you, they most certainly have my attention now.

Swiss rapper Stress is one of the most successful artists in Switzerland. He sings/raps in french, but is more popular in the Swiss-German speaking part. He's actually quite a big deal in Switzerland and has been making waves with some of statements he makes in his music, this interview here makes for interesting reading.

It's been pretty drama-based in the world of TMS recently, what with all the weird takedowns and such. We needed something to make us happy and an email from Fear Of Tigers has brought a smile back to our faces once more.

This track is called 'Mary's Day' it's a bit different from the last track I posted. This is a little bit more subdued. It's a sophisticated mixture of catchy synth and guitars. It's quite soft but not without having some dancefloor sensibilities. It's slightly unbelievable they are currently unsigned, but you can imagine this not being the case for much longer. Check it out.

このトラックは'Mary's Day'はこの前のトラックとはちょっと違ってちょっと落ち着いた感じです。キャッチーなシンセとギターのミックスが素敵で落ち着いてるとは言えどもダンシーな感じも残っています。まだ彼らはどこにも所属してないのが不思議ですが今後はどうなるか楽しみです。

It was around this time last year that Flairs unleashed his majestic instrumental track 'Truckers Delight', since then he's released an album, a few EP's and most recently he inspired Felix Da Housecat and his track 'Turn Me On A Summer Smile' (inspired = Felix kinda ripped him off).

ちょうど去年の今頃Flairsのインストロメンタルトラック'Truckers Delight'を発見して、それから今まで彼はアルバムといくつかのEPそしてつい最近Felix Da Housecatにも大きな影響を与え、彼のトラック'Turn Me On A Summer Smile'を聞けばその意味が良くわかります。

'Truckers Delight' is now back for another release and rather weirdly, it still sounds really fresh. Check the brand new video below. Be warned, it starts off quite cute but quickly degenerates into utter filth.

Of course, a re-release isn't a re-release unless it has new remixes! Mr. Flairs dropped off these mixes from Alex Gopher & Alixander III (one half of Azari & III). Gophers mix is cool and dancefloor but Alixander III's is my favourite, it's a classy and subtle groove.

There is some mystery over the indentity of Monarchy. Wish I cared, really I do. [Cliche] But it's their music that does the talking for them. This remix from Diamond Cut of their track 'Gold In The Fire' is magical eighties disco, I've listened to it six times in a row which is a good sign. I rarely ever do this.

Crystal Fighters 'I Love London' feels like it's been around for ages, but that is probably an exaggeration because it's recieving only now getting an official release via Kitsune on November 30th. It's got a 'craaaaaaaaaaaaazy' video....

It will be released with a whole bunch of remixes, here are two of them. I don't think the Super Milkmen one made the cut, but I actually think it's pretty cool. I'm not entirely sure what 80Kidz are trying do on their mix, 8bitstep? Not their finest hour, but still ok.

It was way back in April of this year when we first posted some VanGuard and fast foward to November and these guys have come on leaps and bounds. It's still quite hard to believe they are only 18. They've started recieving support from peeps like Kissy Sell Out & (bit weirdly) Nick Grimshaw.

Their sound can be desribed as French House meets the frantic cutting style of SebastiAn, as you would expect this is a very good place to taking your sound and they are doing it with some real style. Here are two cuts to listen to, the magnificent, dancefloor destroying 'Mount Helicon' and a Phantoms Revenge remix of forthcoming release 'Femme Fetale'.

'Overtaken' is the debut release for Edwin van Cleef on the Space Disco label. The track has already recieved some major love from Radio 1's Jaymo + George.

Colette is something to do with Fashion, it is also a shop, it is considered the height of trendy by many and the height of bullshit by others. I am the least fashion aware person on the planet, I don't even try stuff on before I buy it, so you can imagine how much I don't care about any of this. I am interested in the fact they they release music CD's, 'Hooked on Colette' is one of their latest compilation offerings and it's a very good one at that.

Coletteと言えばファッションと思う人が多いと思いますが実際Coletteはお店で服や色んな物を売っているお店です。とってもイマドキで興味がない人には全くどうでもいい場所だと思います。私はともかく相方さんはお洒落に興味がない人なのですがColetteから出ているCDは別な話。最近のリリースの中の1つ'Hooked on Colette'はとても興味深いコンピレーションです。

What I really like about the 'Hooked On Colette' compilation is the variety of music and the thought that has obviously gone into it. Not everything is to my liking but it works like a compilation should, everything has it's place and it's not trying hard to show off with 'YO EXCLUSIVE TRACKS HERE! SUPER HOT ARTIST' like their rival Kitsune seems to be doing these days. There are some big names on the compilation like Tiga, Joakim and The XX but they all feel like a part of the compilation and sit rather well next to a track from Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra because it's interesting and fun to listen to.

'Hooked On Colette'の面白い所はそのバラエティ。全部が好みでは無いんだけれどこれぞコンピレーション！ってな感じで出来としてはとても良いです。どのトラックも無駄に我が強い感じもなくKitsuneみたいに「私達だけの独占です！クールだろ！」みたいな感じもなく。コンピレーションにはTiga, Joakim and The XXの様な名があるアーティストも入っていますがそれが必要以上に飛び出てる感じもなくとっても聞いていて気分が良いです。

Anyway, here are three of my favourites from the compilation. Which should help you understand what I am waffling on about.

Yesterday, I recieved a notification from blogger telling me that my post contained material that I didn't have permission to post. The post in question was the Hey Champ remix of Mike Posner, it was kind of irratating because the track was sent out and approved for posting on the internets. I removed the Mp3 and put a snarky little comment where the Mp3 once stood and thought that would be that.

It seems somebody with a very small penis took offense at the snarky comment and then notified blogger that I didn't have permission for the image (yes, the artwork!) and today another takedown followed.

Thought it would be a cool story (bro) to share with you all. Because it is quite worrying.

OK. I've seen this Wolf Gang chap floating around the blogs for a couple of months now, pictures of him molesting cats (above) and looking a bit artsy meant I've avoided him, I also read a press release which was well wanky. It contained the following highlight:

It turns out he makes properly good Pop music. Really good stuff, you can say it sounds like "MGMT fronted by Bryan Ferry, or a 21st Century ABC" and that's all well and good. But it's just smart, sophisticated Pop music which is very well produced.

所が！なかなか素敵なポップミュージックを作ってるじゃない、と言うことが発覚。MGMTとBrya Ferryの対決若しくは21世紀のABCみたいな。なんとも洗練されていてプロダクションもレベルが高いです。

His new single 'The King And All His Men' is out on November 16th via brand new label Hit Club. It's backed with remixes from Hot Chip, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Egyptian Hip Hop. It will be available on limited 7” and digitally.
